Everything grows in the series

In developing our nonprofit, we continue to remember the loved ones we’ve lost due to gun violence throughout the city of Chicago. Our foundation is inspired by the remembrance of fifteen-year-old Kevin Davis and fourteen-year-old Charity Johnson.

Our Mission

Our mission is to create paths for our youth and families that will lead them to build suitable skills and gain knowledge. We aim to run a series with connected programs, organizations, foundations, and volunteers, sharing knowledge and skills to benefit our youth’s journey. The Series Foundation plans to begin our focus with financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and gun violence awareness.

Our Goal

Our goal is to connect with other nonprofits and programs throughout the city of Chicago to meet our community’s needs and expand opportunities and resources for our youth and families.

Genesis Bencivenga Sr.

Founder

Genesis graduated with a B.S. in Psychology in 2011 and helped her father, Lorenzo, sell their family’s banana pudding. Her passion for service led her to co-found The Series Foundation to support the community.

Kirsty Warren

Co-founder

Kirsty Warren, Co-Founder of “The Series” foundation, has over 10 years of experience. She previously served as a mental health counselor at St. Mary’s Hospital and now focuses on preparing youth for their future.
